I wasn't going to mention it's you, but what part of what I said was wrong?

The part where you started typing, probably.

I remember mentioning to somebody that at a certain club there was a room where myself, Benz and others were playing and the atmosphere was great, much better than the first room. Any joy I had from this was removed by the person I was talking to saying "no offence, but the music you guys play is quite... accessible", as if that's a bad thing.

Confused

Edit: I don't play anything even close to commercial stuff either.

Well indeed. Many DJs would rather play introspective, 'underground' bollocks than make their crowd dance. That was the problem with Bedrock on Thursday and was the opposite on Friday. Result - Bedrock had no atmosphere, Gallery had buckets of it. Plus Gallery was full of girls, Bedrock wasn't. No one wants to listen to this shit, DJs will finally get it like they did in the progressive scene in 2004...

I took a step back from prog when I realised tech went down better in clubs.

There's no point being proud or precious about what you do when you job is to make people dance, not impress them with obscure, boring music, IMO.

The progressive scene (musically) was at its shittest in 2004 IMO.
