David Guetta Returns to Kissdafunk’s Second Birthday
Special Three Hour Set
KISSDAFUNK’S FIRST BIRTHDAY in January 2005 was one of the most talked about
parties of the year. It was so sizzling, DAVID GUETTA’s set that night
achieved the ultimate compliment of being voted BEST LIVE SET at the 2005
HOUSE MUSIC AWARDS; beating every other performance by a house dj, played
anywhere in the world.
The night was a bustling maelstrom of glammed-up party people, with David
himself describing the atmosphere as; ‘reminding him of the early days of
acid-house’. Mixmag on the other hand praised it for having the ‘best
looking crowd in the UK’. If there had been an award for ‘Most-Up-for It
Crowd’ they‘d have probably won that too.
The Kissdafunk team is therefore absolutely delighted to announce that DAVID
GUETTA will be returning to perform an EXCLUSIVE THREE HOUR SET of pumping
electronic house at its SECOND BIRTHDAY taking place at Mission on Friday
27th January. The last 12 months have seen the French DJ shoot to
super-stardom. Not only did his KDF appearance win him a trophy but he also
won two more HOUSE MUSIC AWARDS, including the top prize of BEST HOUSE DJ of
2005. Four weeks earlier he became the second highest new entry in the 2005
DJ Mag Top 100 Poll.
Joining him will be your team of Kissdafunk favorites including ROB TISSERA,
THE TROPHY TWINS , and MARC LEAF playing B2B with FILTHY RICH. Meanwhile
in Arch 54 MATT COOPER is b2b with FILTHY RICH spinning dirty tech house,
together with GARETH OLDREIVE. Completing the cast will be the fabulous
CARLY’S ANGELS entertainment team.
Kissdafunk also enlists the services of a dedicated VJ for the first time.
This is going to be a bumper night so the club will be extending its opening
hours till 6am and alcohol will be served throughout. As we expect the venue
to be packed, the Viaduct room will also be open which includes extra
toilets, another bar and a place to chill out, away from the mayhem.
This is the one you can’t afford to miss.
