I'd venture it would have been even more of an ordeal for the cabbie if Duggan had decided, a bit further down the road, that he quite liked the look of his fat bag of fares and demanded he hand it over on pain of being shit in the head. Which is precisely the kind of thing that dysfunctional gutterfilth like him would do at the drop of a hat. Then you'd be moaning about how rubbish the cops were for not taking him out when they had the chance. Next time you need to call the police, maybe you should discuss your theories with the officers who turn up to help you.

Have you called the police lately?
You would be very fortunate if they were to turn up at all.

No Sympathy. Police need to be more heavy handed and get back hold of the streets. It's a soft take on crime by authorities that is making things forever worse.

Being shit in the head, what a horrible way to go.

They wont though. Most of the time the police are not interested in crime. I have a few stories about how they have lacked interest.
Mind you if your road tax was out of date they would be round like a shot.

How do you extrapolate "not interested most of the time" from a few scraps of second-hand anecdotal yarns, no doubt spun by crusty police-haters? If you honestly believe that cops have no will or abilty to do anything other than persecute OWM for petty infractions then you are more deluded than I imagined.

Regardless, fill me in on a few these stories.

I will do them one at a time as I have got some work to do.

A few months ago my Niece was at work, on her own, in a very small local estate agents in our high street. 2 men came in and asked her for directions to the station, they then tried to grab her phone, My Niece then repeatedly shouted "get out get out" at them and the men fled. A lady from another estate agents down the road came in a few minutes later to see if my niece was OK. It seems that they had tried the same trick there with more success.

Shortly afterwards my niece was giving a statement to the police when she saw the thieves on the other side of the road. She pointed this out to the copper who was not interested. He just wanted to take a statement. Now call me old fashioned but I think the copper should have at the very least gone over to speak to the person. But he did nothing apart from take my nieces statement, give her a crime reference number and leave, no doubt another successful day on the beat as far as he was concerned.

Leaving women to work on their own in an estate agent's is pretty dumb to begin with. I would imagine the 'copper' was probably a PCSO, none of them have any balls so he's hardly likely to chase after anyone, possibly even forbidden by risible H & S. Equally, it could be a case of mistaken identity. Who knows? Whatever, you are allowing your cynical dislike of the police to obscure reason and reality.
