Sam Ho – Progressive Trance / Trance (www.myspace.com/samkho)
Sam Ho has been spinning house and trance for the past few years at venues like Ministry of Sound, Turnmills, the infamous Zap Club in Brighton and with the rest of his colleagues at loveDJ at their many successful gigs around London. Sam saw a blistering start to 2007 with his illicit bootleg of Jose Gonzalez - Crosses making Judge Jules' playlist on BBC Radio 1 over five consecutive weeks and earning the Judges treasured "Banging Tried and Tested Tune of the week". Support of his productions has come from a range of DJs including, Armin Van Buuren, Ronski Speed, Agnelli and Nelson, Kiss FM, Darren Tate, Adam White. Sam is now focussing his efforts on a label he co-runs with the rest of loveDJ - loveDJ-R - seeking independence from all those A&R sharks.
Mike Tours – High Energy Trance
Mike Tours came to London in 2000 on a mission to get involved with London’s hectic club scene. He started playing for some of Brixton’s after hours clubs, 414, George IV, The Plug etc … Before receiving his big break with one of the UK’s longest running trance promotion’s – Pendragon. Mike has gone on to play at The Fridge, Brixton Academy and SE-One, and has been a resident DJ for the hugely successful boat party promotion Echo. He has also been involved with the Friendz at Turnmills, so loveDJ is a logical step for Mike with his high energy uplifting music!
Ryan Wilkinson - Trance (www.myspace.com/djryanwilkinson)
Ryan is a classically trained musician and has always had a love for electronic music, in particular trance. Having been introduced to electronic music through the sounds of Chemical Brothers, Prodigy and Orbital it was Paul van Dyks sound that truly captured Ryan. Since then Ryan has distanced himself from the ‘fluffy’ trance sound of the late 90’s and has expanded, playing sets that include more tech, house, electro, and progressive trance sounds…
David James – Progressive / Euphoric Trance (www.myspace.com/davidjamesdj)
David James entered the scene as the Founder of loveDJ parties and plays mostly as a resident thereof. He focuses on putting together beautifully uplifting Trance sets but has also been known to play the odd funkier set too. He has graced the world famous decks of Ministry and Heat N.Y.E. Brixton Academy among others. David is concentrating heavily on music production with his first release coming out on loveDJ-R in time for him to spin it in Ibiza during the 2007 season!
Shylo - Uplifting & Vocal Funky House and Trance
Shylo played her first set in March 2000 when the legendary 96 Degrees first opened its doors in Cape Town. Since then she became their #1 resident and also held a residency at '55 (Cape Town) and Silk (Port Elizabeth). In 2003 Shylo moved to the UK and took the club scene by storm playing her own blend of funky house and has become a resident for Plush Dafunk, as well as a regular DJ for other events like Shiva & Hot N Spicy...
David Brinson - Uplifting House (www.davidbrinson.net)
Since playing the first set at the now legendary Push last year, David has gone from small bar sets to playing in Space, Es-Paradis and Kanya in Ibiza. He's also played in Italy, Switzerland, Germany and recently South Africa. With some exciting productions already released, and more tracks due for release soon, this is an artist to look out for!
Pete Rypstra - Funky and Electro House (www.myspace.com/peterypstra)
Big hooks and funky beats! Expect only the finest house from one of loveDJs producers and DJ's. With a decade of experience on the decks, Pete is resident on the now infamous Echo boat parties and has played sets at Turnmills (Solid Kiss, Friendz), Push and The Fridge to mention a few. He is currently remixing a future summer hit for one of house's global heavy weights... Watch this space!
Nick Ave - Dirty Electro / Progressive House
Nick Ave. was originally introduced to the clubbing scene back in Johannesburg around 1997, when legends such as Tall Paul and Carl Cox rose as legends at the very controversial South African "Raves". Since then, Nick has followed his passion and gone on to entertain crowds with the best that electronica has to offer, varying in styles from electro, break beat and touching the verges of trance depending on the club… but always guided by his Progressive roots. Nick Ave. has played at various clubs around London including White House and Turnmills, and is gearing up towards releasing his own tracks on loveDJ-R by the end of the summer.
Duncan Mills – Deep Underground House
Duncan hails from Wellington, New Zealand where he held long-term residencies at Jam and the Mercury Lounge. Since relocating to London in 2006 he has supported loveDJ and is currently focused on his new night Connection at Fluid Bar. His sets combine the freshest underground US and UK house grooves with tribal and electro beats.
Ash & Adrian – House & Trance (www.ashvsadrianb.com)
Ash & Adrian, (Yes they're married) are probably Cape Town 's most versatile DJs playing anything from funky house, to uplifting trance, to the harder edge of dance which includes techno, hard trance and hard house. But no matter what type of set they play, they always guarantee tracks that are fresh and filled with tons of attitude. They are also busy working on their own productions, so look out for these two!
Alejandro Mendoza - Uplifting Funky & Vocal House
Ale is no stranger to the club scene - drawn into music from an early age, most of his life has been heavily dedicated to a search for amazing sounds, and you can hear it when he plays! Drawing on his Venezuelan roots, he skilfully blends the most upbeat, Latin sounds and deliciously soulful grooves, peppered with jazzy, electric beats. This, and a unique connection with the crowd makes each one of his sets a real soul moving experience!
