For the last four years Mondo Records has been growing as one of the world’s leading trance labels.
The new Mondo Sessions 002 compilation has been mixed by Darren Tate and Dale Corderoy and takes you on a musical journey.
The Sunsetters mix is for when the sun goes down, these are tunes that take you somewhere – laid back and full of emotion.
The Daybreakers mix is all about early morning anthems, it is about arms in the air and epic moments.
We have some copies of the new album to give away if you can answer this easy question:
Name any tune by Darren Tate
Email your answers, including a full postal address please, to competitions@davepearce.co.uk. Winners will be contacted by email.
Guest mix
“A great, emotive, hands-in-the-air Vangelis trance track” was how one respected dj described Sweetest Dreams which was produced by our guest mixer this week.
The record went on to be supported by Paul van Dyk, Paul Oakenfold, Tiesto, Scott Bond, Matt Hardwick, and Dave Pearce.
His next track – Deeper – featured the vocals of Kirstie Gorton and was played by Judge Jules for an amazing 13 weeks on his Radio 1 show.
Following this success, a bidding war broke out over the next single – Drifting – which found a home at UK label Mondo Records.
As well as his own productions, there have been numerous other releases including a particularly notable remix of Hemstock & Jennings’ LA2DC.
In 2008 Dave Pearce featured another track – Watching U – on his Delirium compilation album released on Ministry of Sound.
Later in the year Starline blasted onto the scene receiving support from Dave Pearce, Above & Beyond, Darren Tate, and Matt Darey.
Quite simply, our guest mix this week is provided by one of the most consistently outstanding and talented producers on the UK trance scene today.
We are lucky to welcome Dale Corderoy.

Underwater – Sacred Whisper (Conspiracy Recordings)
DJ Eco – Borealis (Infra Progressive)
