This is my thinking, either that or she was elsewhere (and possibly still alive) at the time of the previous search.

“Searching at night is never a good idea unless absolutely necessary. To search properly you need to look under floorboards, lift carpets, send a dog into the roof space — I have to ask was all that done in a couple of hours in the middle of the night?”...'
