Perhaps it's the nature of the gesture that seems a little inappropriate, rather than the gesture itself. A rave seems inappropriate to me for someone fighting for his life.

Maybe the guy was a massive cainer?
How does it seem more inappropriate than the funds raised at an HF bash, as Staggo pointed out?
People getting muntered there whilst donating to kid's charities etc?
Hand in hand is the only way to land
And always the right way round
Not broken in pieces
Like hated little meeces
How could we miss
Someone as dumb as this

Exactly.
If the guy was a raver (which I am pretty sure he was) then wouldn't it seem apt to try and raise money in a way where all his friends could get involved?
I just learnt how to give myself a signature - 27/08/09 - bear (member for just over 2 years)

How will getting off your tits in Vauxhall help a guy in a cardiac ward?
What are they going to do for someone with a massive history in the clubbing community. Have a cake sale?
Not sure why you have to be a dick when you could quite easily say fuck all.
I think it is fair to say that everyone on the Internet is annoying.

Exactly. He was Jedi Paul, the Master of the Jedi's and I think having a rave is totally apt.

I think its a great idea, raising money for the Scoble family by doing what we do best, putting on a good party. If you don't want to come or donate, then that's grand. If you do want to come, that's even better but you don't need to be an arsehole about it.
