Thirsty DJs collective review in 2004 and residency update for 2005! (taken from the News section )
Trust you all had a good Christmas break as 2004 is nearly over - how was it for you? This time of the year we usually reflect on the year gone and the year ahead. For all us at the Thirsty DJs HQ, it was certainly a year of madness!
We kicked off 2004 at Ministry of Sound on NYD with Frantic and celebrated our first birthday in Ibiza with HeatUK for the opening season! Due to the success of the trip we were asked back again for the closing season at September which was another amazing trip to the party island hosting Bar Kanya and playing at the most amazing clubs on the planet!
In between the Ibiza trips and during the year, Thirsty DJs have been hosting the house rooms all over London playing along side some of the biggest DJs in the world at Pacha, Cross, Ministry of Sound, Heaven, Turnmills, SeOne, Coronet, Brixton Academy, Fridge, Scala, Egg, Fire, Studio 33, Clapham Grand, Club U4RIA, the End/AKA and many more including a few boat parties during summer! We also have our monthly residency at the Southside Bar (over sring/summer) and back to the Retox Bar at Covent Garden for new and established DJs to showcase their music and talent.
For us, 2004 was definitely the year where our brand has been the talking point of many clubbers and promoters in clubland. We'd like to take this opportunity to thank all of you who have supported us. It has been a truly remarkable year and we look forward to partying with you all in the New Year.
2005 is even more exciting…and introducing our 4 new residents - Law, John Maxwell, PK and Neil Murphy . They all have the passion for house music and the Thirsty DJs brand which continue to grow with gigs all over the country and overseas. Our current residents DJChewy (founder and head of Thirsty DJs), Rob Alexander and Mike Devine will work alongside the new residents to push the brand to another level in the new year with the launch of Thirsty records and continue our exciting compilation series. We would also like to thank our ex-residents Darz, Richard Launch and Adam May for their contribution during the year as it was a pleasure working with them and we wish them all the best in their successful careers!
That's all from us and we hope to see many of you at Brixton Academy tomorrow to celebrate the New Year in style. We would also like to take this opportunity to wish you all the warmest season's greetings and happy 2005!
