Costa Pantazis

» Themis Principle

Reviewed by Pete M / Submitted 17-08-21 11:06

Label: Metamorph Recordings
Format: Digital
Genre: Trance

On to Metamorph we go and the Themis Principle by Costa Pantazis. This is fairly rampant trance with a psychedelic undertone and a remix from Jay Flynn on the flip side. This also comes with an instrumental mix and an instrumental version of the Jay Flynn mix.

This certainly is powerful and packs a hefty punch. Eerie samples and pulsating bass-lines are the order of the day here; as with most Costa tracks. Its savagery is matched only by its potency and is certainly one for the full-on crowd. Glorious!

For the remix, Jay Flynn pops up once more. He's provided remix work for Costa before and this one is another addition to the catalogue. This is more mainstream trance than psychedelic and is more suited to calmer (!) floors. It utilises the samples of the original but uses them in a more benign way. Its just as powerful and potent. Nice!
