Banco de Gaia

» Rewritten Histories, Volume Four

Reviewed by Pete M / Submitted 02-12-21 19:21

Label: Disco Gecko Recordings
Format: Digital
Genre: Electronica

It is time for the re-emergence of Rewritten Histories, the compilation of remixes of Banco de Gaia tracks, on Disco Gecko! This fourth edition covers the years 2013 - 2017 and includes remixes from dr trippy, Andrew Heath, Silinder, Banco de Gaia, Dr Cat and more.

Particular highlights of this volume include the Goats Head mix of "The Princess And The Sky Goat", Silinder's epic remix of Last Train To Lhasa and Andrew Heath's quiet storm of the aforementioned Princess And the Sky Goat. There are stellar remixes between those tracks, however, and include all the singles from The Ninth Of Nine Hearts album, remixes from the 20th Anniversary EP of Last Train and the 20th anniversary 4-disc album.

A nice selection of tracks then? Definitely and a must for Banco completists.
