LICENCE & SOUND: The festival holds a twenty-four hour license with provisions for late night refreshments and will feature a truly incredible EM Acoustics Sound System that is licensed to run continuously for 56 hours.
PRINCIPLES & PHILOSOPHY: The ‘Pearl Festival’ is a celebration of Peace, Love, Unity, Respect, Tolerance, Understanding and Life Experience. These values extend to one another, nature, the elements, the environment and all beings, a sense of oneness, presence and focus in the here and now. The festival offers a beautiful venue, fantastic décor, impeccable production, alternative entertainment and socialising spaces with great facilities and easy access.
AREAS: Pearl features five unique areas centered on its core philosophy:
Peace provides a holistic, alternative healing space away from the bustling crowd and includes an assortment of treatments, therapies and meditations that include Shiatsu, Chi Gong, Reflexology, Reiki, Thai Massage and Yoga Classes.
Earth is an opulent environment in-which people can enjoy full table service. Unwind and socialise in style, with mega comfy furnishings, Hookah Pipes, board games, a fantastic array of herbal tea and quality coffee, complemented by custom made décor to create the perfect chill out space and atmosphere.
Air is the performer area and alternative socialising space. No festival is complete without the twisting, twirling, gravity defying prowess of carnival antics. A natural amphitheatre surrounded by tall trees, on the bank of a babbling brook, sets the stage for those master manipulators of the elements.
Resonance is the main stage and brings together the most prolific Psytrance acts on the world circuit today. The stage is equipped with a state of the art 40 kilowatt EM Acoustics sound system that will blow you away with audiophile HiFi clarity and warmth. The entire production is controlled by our team of highly skilled technicians to deliver a bespoke audio visual experience that sets the scene for an “Epic” line up. With over 56 hours of pure quality over three days.
Love is the children’s area, over the bridge and far away from the loud music in a tall conifer grove. Hosted by “The Seelie Court Faerie Circus”, “Love” offers children the opportunity to enjoy bubble workshops, puppet shows, art & movement, face painting, faerie Statues, hula hoop dancing, leaf boat sailing, poi spinning and much more the Faeries interact specifically with children and involve the adults as much as possible.
THEME: The theme for the festival is ‘The White Magic Forest’ with a number of world renowned artists creating décor, visual pieces and installations to advocate and acknowledge the massive contribution that art, creativity and expression have made to the Psytrance movement. Once you enter the festival you will be elevated to a higher state of consciousness, immersed in nature, multiple dimensions and the supernatural. Ancient visitors found this place millennia ago creating an assembly ground with an eternal source of energy to amplify the resonance of all who gathered.
ENVIROMENT: Nature provides us with fantastic space to enjoy ourselves and we respect this gift. Each ticket holder will be issued a ‘Pearl Festival’ cup, which comes fitted with a lanyard so that it can be worn around the neck as part of the ticket package. In the event of a cup being lost or broken, a ticket holder may purchase another at a premium to encourage a responsible attitude towards the environment and avoid the massive impact of disposable cups on the environment. The use of cars is strongly discouraged and the suggested means of transport to the event will be by train, if you are using a car please make use of all the spaces legally allowed for the type of vehicle.
CAMPING: The camping area is situated in the Conifer grove that makes for an idyllic place to set up base for the festival with hot showers, toilets and cooking facilities. It is far enough away from the loud music to get some rest with easy access from the main gate and quick routes to the rest of the festival.
FOOD, BARS & MARKET: The concept for the market has taken shape with an idealistic approach. Special care has been given to the selection of food, refreshments, clothing and merchandise. It is our belief that the market trader’s selection process epitomises the values, needs and interests of the “Psytrance” movement and its culture as a global family. Our approach to the bar is one of abundance and the festival acknowledges the value of things. To show our gratitude for your support the pricing will be “very” reasonable. With a selection of high quality beverages and skilled professional bar staff to make sure you thirst for nothing.
GETTING THERE: Getting to the festival couldn’t be easier! No matter where in the world you are coming from, the festival is situated in the middle of a transport hub and the gateway to and from Europe.
TRANSPORT LINKS: 1 hour 8 minutes to get to Sandling station from St. Pancras on the high speed with a quick change at Ashford International Station. 1 hour 39 minutes from Charing Cross or Victoria, with no changes.
If you’re coming from Brighton, London, the West Country or anywhere else in the world there is no need for a car. Sandling train station is 1 minute walk from the main gate and camping.
