And people on death row have generally asked for it.

Generally, they have. Crime, time, etc. If you willingly commit a heinous crime in a country that has the death penalty, that's your problem if you get caught and executed.

I wonder why they decided to pull the taxi over.
If they believed that he had a gun wouldn't that be putting the driver and other members of the public in danger?

Shouldn't they have followed the taxi and waited for Duggan to get out and away from an area where others may have been harmed?

No offence Coops, you may well have experience in special operations tactics like this, but this is why having video cameras is not going to make much difference to public acceptance or outrage following any situation like this.

Protocol was followed here to the letter, and then you have a trained, experienced officer exercising human judgment at the scene. Did he reasonably believe Duggan was armed such that he needed to shoot him? Probably.

I'd like to see you do their job, I really, REALLY would. You're so quick to criticise and theorise about what happens every time, put them in a negative light constantly.

I have already said I wouldn't do their job, do keep up. i have also said the it may have been the right course of action, but that there are enough inconstancies to cause doubt.

Laughable. They didn't even see him sling his gun from the cab.

Too busy eating fucking doughnuts.

I joke. But the serious point is they fucked up massively throughout this situation.

There could be live televised footage and you would probably accuse it of being photoshopped or edited. You never have a single good thing to say about police ever. Even when they have done the right thing. Your hatred of them blinds you to anything positive. Much like politicians. It's a little sad, really.

Mind you, you are not the only one, so at least you have company Wink

Also, what the f**k were people from the National Union of Teachers doing at this 'protest', what exactly has a seedy lowlife's deserved death and its fallout got to do with education? Pity the poor kids who get taught by these bellends, thank f**k it won't be mine.

NUT knew there would be some sort of coverage and any coverage that brings attention to their plight helps them, or some such bull...

Go and troll Coops, I for one am not going to give this nonsense any time, I said earlier in this thread that they got it spot on with the Lee Rigby situation for example and have at numerous other times given credit to the police where it is due and have frequently said that they do a good job on the whole. I know how I feel about them and if you think it is hatred then that is your opinion but it's daft and unsurprising. And saying that I would say that it is edited or photoshopped is ludicrous, I mean really, come on.
