The Earth. A sphere without end. Well, I'm not as good at being as cryptic as the purveyors of deep prog, EL-EL, but I am good at reviewing so maybe I'll stick to that, eh? Anyway, this is Stu Mort with The Lost Chapters, a four-track EP with a message.

A mixture of trance and ambient, by way of proggy house, The Lost Chapters is an EP with a conscience. The second track, "Earth", is about what we have done to this planet; causing the ice-caps to melt, global warming, famine and flooding in North American states. Its not often that EL-EL deliver well-meaning music; mainly, it is club music for the progressive / trance heads but now, it seems, this is a new direction for the label.

As an EP, The Lost Chapters delivers four tracks from, it seems, all four side of the cube; each varying in length and genre. My personal favourite, for obvious reasons, is the ambient slink of Earth but the club groove of Jiraiya does it for me too. Its certainly an interesting set of tracks that is perfect for EL-EL.
