George-E Vs DMF

» "Worst Nightmare"

Reviewed by Norris123 / Submitted 20-01-05 15:48

Label: Feersum
Format: 12" Vinyl
Genre: Hard House

After an extended summer of sunning their pasty asses on the tropical beaches of Great Yarmouth the Feersum Records crew have used the darkness of the winter to get their heads down (ooer missus) and put together this long awaited release.

Feerless Saffa and one of the brains behind Insekt, George-E teams up with one of the scene’s toughest and filthiest producers DMF, to bring us “Worst Nightmare” and “One Below”.

George-E’s djing style is reflected well in all his productions to date and this is no exception. From the start they tell it like it is using the sample “I’m your worst f*cking nightmare” to introduce the deep bassline that drives this track into a funk fest of filtered stabs and hoovers. DJ

The flip side delivers a much funkier bassline with a hard-as-fuck kick drum that hammers the hard house message well into your head. Lots of the usual hard house stabs again in this one with a funky messed up sample throughout that sounds like it’s saying “ya ya, ya, ya ya”. Laughs out loud Messy DMF’s input is as prominent as ever in both tracks with production tightness and quality that makes him who he is. Slayer

This actually came with a health warning and I quote “This release is not for the faint hearted, but when it’s as good as this who gives a f*ck!?” – well, I’ll ask my granny what she thinks and get back to you on that one.

This is being supported by all the filthy hard house massive including Marc Johnson, Nik Denton, Ben Stevens, Justin Bourne and Feersum man Dan Madams. Nuff respect innit

Good work lads and here’s to a 2005 of filth. Cheers!
