The Count & Sinden

» Mega

Reviewed by Greg Zizique / Submitted 03-09-09 19:45

Label: Domino
Format: CD
Genre: House, Electro

One of the biggest tunes off their album which has been extensively road tested from the US to Japan, to Europe and the UK, Mega is funky as hell from The Count & Sinden.

Cracking percussive loaded housey beats start it off with a simple vocal sample then retro synth and break that leads into a hypnotic rhythmic sound and edge. Lots of funkyness rests down until the deeper smashing break and almost film-esque sounding melodic ritual hits you.

This is a cleverly put together nu sound of funky electro bass grooving dance music that does have hints of nu school and wobble, but in carefully limited supply. Supplied with a dub version to, you can sit back and let the music do the talking.
