nah I didn't think so either but thought I would ask just in case

for some reason i expect he plays something more akin to a dysfunctional brass band.

London based Psychedelic Trance DJ / Live performer Libra 9 started in the music industry over 10 years ago. First running a series of successful events in a pub in North London, then moving on to venues like Club 414 and Viaduct (Fire). Known then as Mad Phil / Phil Lankester, he quickly started grabbing the attention of rival promoters, and before you know it was hosting 2nd rooms for Brixton Academy, Scala, and Bagleys to name a few.

Not content on just hosting rooms and playing at his own parties, Phil moved away from Trance to fulfil his love for Psychedelic Trance and started including it in his sets at his newly born party ‘Puzzle Project’ in 2005. Phil Lankester aka Libra 9 was born!

After an amazing amount of successful events, and getting even more noticed, Phil was asked to play for massive Psy Trance label HOMMega’s party / Halcyon at London’s Matter! With the help of super-club promoter Paul Jack, things are well on the way to super stardom.

Ever since, Phil has picked up awards for Best DJ, Best Live Act and more for 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011 on HarderFaster.net, A clubbing/social site with over 67000 members! Since cutting his teeth into the industry over 10 years ago, Phil has built an extremely devout following in London., as well as completing tours in Hong Kong, Thailand, Australia and New Zealand.

Next on Phil’s radar is getting his production album down, of which he includes many snippets of his own material in his Live sets already. An album is well on the way and studio time is booked with Nick Sentience, Dejavoo, and many more. Watch this space!

Ha, that has just dredged up DJ Yoda and the transiberian marching band that I saw at Royal Albert - fucking amazing!

Euphoria had his first taste of dance music on Swiss radio when he was 13 years old and he’s been hooked ever since.

In the 1990’s, the dance music industry exploded Worldwide as did Alex’s burning passion for music and what a DJ could do with a crowd developing an enthusiasm and energy he still keeps today. His hard work paid off, as in 1995 he began his first residency at the famous Pacha Club in the resort of Crans-Montana, Switzerland. That same year he decided on his professional artist name: Euphoria. He warmed up for DJ Willow, voted the Best DJ in Switzerland at this time and also voted in DJ Mag’s Top 100. He was then booked to mix live on the Swiss radio station Rhone FM for Saturday's evening weekly dance show known as Raveline where such superstars as Paul van Dyk, Scot Project and Yves de Ruyter have also played.

In 1999, Euphoria decided to seek new opportunities and moved to the UK to discover the underground trance scene, there he met the Pickle crew, one of the best and most respected underground organization in London and the rest is history! He gained permanent residency playing at their monthly parties and club tours around the UK and Europe. A regular face in club land, he has appeared in London’s best clubs and after parties with regular shows at the legendary Escape from Samsara, Pendragon, Peach, Logic, Frantic, Qwench, Smile, Milk, The Gathering and the list goes on... He has also performed at some of the best club parties and major festivals in Europe such as the massive Zurich Street Parade, Berlin Love Parade, Geneva Lake parade, Paris Techno Parade, where he also organized his own love mobile and did reviews for his BPM radio show!

A hot property on the rave scene since 2002, Euphoria is still showing why he is one of the most popular Swiss export hard trance DJs around. Performing is in his blood, together with a passion for perfection. If he doesn't perform, something in him is missing!

Last year Reverent Mac stepped in at short notice to cover the warm up slot and did such a fine job he's back again this year. If you missed him at HarderFaster, you might have heard him at this year's Chilled in a Field festival, Subversion, Brixton Trance Underground or one of many other parties across London. A true international he holds residencies in both France and Holland along with an annual outing in the Dominican Republic.

Here's what he says about himself. 'Player of groovy and infectious dance music to discerning party people with the occasional tongue-in-cheek irony that runs through all his sets. As a child of the 80’s he grew up in the height of Chicago and Detroit beats, but also the melodic treasure of trance and progressive. “For me, it’s all about having fun without the unpleasantness of throwing cakes at people. How a tune makes you feel and how it can take you somewhere else…”

You can hear what he's currently playing here:
