Thanks but I just like to consider myself a regular addition to the line up.

Yep, that's what I'd say, it looks like a lot of regular (but very good ) hf party line-up with some up and coming talent. Not a bad thing at all but not star guests. That isn't going to detract from anything, it just says how good the line-up is regularly.

I know I volunteered for door duty - can you make sure it's not when Phil, Skol or Gorfy are on please? Big grin

Set times will be out tomorrow.... Matt HF is co-ordinating the door I believe... I will pass your message on Thumbs up

As has become customary we kick off the festivities with the annual poem by Craig Gunn

Twas the rave before Christmas, when all through the hard-house
Not a creature was stirring, not even deamau5.
The stockings were hung by the Gorfy's with care,
In hope that Ali Wilson soon would be there.

The clubbers were buckled all in their beds,
While visions of flashbacks danced in their heads.
The afternoon began with Red Stripe on tap
Things got hazy after Jenga with diazepam and a disco nap.

When out of the Lost Dawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the bed to see WTF was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
Tore open the shutters and threw away my stash.

The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow
Gave the lustre of a fresh bag of blow.
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a miniature sleigh, and eight tiny reindeer.

With an old skool raver, Custard was quick,
I knew in a moment it must be Piqué.
More rapid than Zebra’s his coursers Lynam,
And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name!
"Now Danny! now Mark! now Coop and DJ Erc!
On, Dodger! On, Matt ! on Craig and Lyon!

To the top of the porch! to the top of the wall!
Now dash away! Dash away! Phil Reynolds and all!"
As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,
When we meet at the UNION for an afternoon of hands to the sky.

So down to the trance music, mulled wine and mince pies too,
With a pocket full of Dingers, and Old St Matt HF too.

Bah Bumhugs!

Firstly a massive thank you to Nigel and everyone at Union for hosting us again, and the provision of mulled wine and mince pies (and the tins of Celebrations choccies - sorry about the lack of Brazil Nuts, Nige).

Thank you to everyone who came down and made it so special - always great to see old and new faces, and thank you to everyone who donated so generously on the door although I do feel a special mention should go to the young lady who tried to blag her way in by telling us she was on "the Lighting Crew's Guest List" and then very sullenly put a pound in when we nicely explained to her that A) there was no guest list, and B) "a lighting crew guest list?" Actual lol but fair play for trying.

For once I managed not to spend 5 or 6 hours outside being Door Bitch (I got it down to 2 1/4 this year) so managed to do a fair bit of stomping myself. This meant I missed the hilarity of Latex Zebra (forever to be known as Darren Fucking Nugget henceforth). However we propped the door ajar is I could hear Coop & Jones and Pique & Custard.

Set of the night for me though absolutely goes to Neill Moore & Libra 9 aka Phil Lankester which was absolutely superb, with a honorary mention to N-kore and Lauren. Sadly I had to leave halfway through Skol's set which I was loving, as my spine has chosen that moment to declare that enough was enough, but I did smile all the way home and having a tube journey home devoid of fuckwits was a pleasant end.

Thank you again to everyone who comes down year after year and makes this party.

Merry Christmas and much love to you all
Fi xxx

Robochick.
