Segren Hedlund and Dalhalla proudly present Into the Valley - a two day celebration of electronic music, and beyond. The vision of Dalhalla as a music arena was awakened in 1991 when Margaret Dellefors, a former opera singer, discovered the abandoned quarry along with Rattvik's former Cultural Affairs. In the current situation Dalhalla presents a combination of opera, choral, jazz and popular music. Previous performances include Kraftwerk, Arcade Fire and Sigur Ros, to name but a few. Segren Hedlund are behind some of Stockholm's most popular clubs, such as F 1-6 at Fotografiska (voted club of the year 2013 by NOjesguiden), Musikaliska and F12 Terrassen.
Into the Valley takes the pulse of the city to the heart of the forest. By being an extension of previous projects the club feeling is intact, though the context is different. An urban club environment is recreated, and maximized while sound, machinery and lineup aligns with Dalhalla's majestic backdrop of trees, water and sky. The limestone quarry transforms into a stew of deep electronics and artificially created light warped far from its original destination. Into the Valley is a dream come true for everyone involved, and expectations are high.
At the festival
You must be over 23 years to visit Into the Valley. Into the Valley reserves the right to deny entry to the festival site in case a valid ID can not be displayed on arrival. Purchased tickets are exchanged for the festival wristband at the entrance. The wristband is personal and is a requirement for admission to the festival. Lost wristbands will not be replaced and broken festival wristbands are not valid for admission. Tickets to Into the Valley are sold exclusively to the festival as a whole event and not for individual artists, or acts. Consequently, tickets are not redeemed by changes in schedule or canceled artists. The program may be suspended or canceled due to illness or extreme weather conditions.
