More hotness for cold days comes from Perfecto Records in the form of Close To You by Richard Beynon.

An amazingly simple vibe infects the Extended mix here, reverbing piano synths and a ear catching breakdown layered up with voice of Aaron Shier makes me seriously wonder why this wasn’t released during the summer as it would have been a huge hit perfect for long sunny days. Still I’m very impressed by this release and will be playing this track as many times as possible. You’ll be hearing the radio edit lots no doubt as it’s perfect Radio One fodder.

The Zoltan Kontes Club mix has a Fatboy Slim groove to it with a beat that really pulls you into the break, while the Starkillers Butterfly Terrace mix adds a healthy dose of acid into proceedings to really get the dancefloor freaking out. For me it’s certainly a toss up between this and the extended mix. Still compared to all these monsters the Richard Beynon Re-Rub just didn’t really cut the mustard – considering he’s produced an out and out chart topper in the original Extended mix, that’s not really a surprise!
