Genre: Psy Trance, Progressive Trance

I'm not really sure where to begin on this one - an interesting package of fairly progressive remixes from some of the most well known names in their respective scenes. There are nine in total, encompassing a couple of more laid back chilled mixes through progressive trance to the more progressive end of psy trance. Personally, I think I'd be hard pressed to manage to fit most of them into one of my sets but taking them for what they are, you have a diverse range of remixes that are easy to listen to and each takes the track to a different place.

We'll start with my personal favourite, Cosmic Tone's remix. This would be perfect first set material, not too pacey but enough to set the tone of things to come, it starts of with a ploddy bassline and some nice atmospheric background noises giving it a superb sense of depth. As the track progresses and finds it's feet the bass starts to roll. The percussion is tight and punchy and really helps to push the track along. There is enough going on to keep your attention, with a few little unexpected twists and turns thrown in for good measure. The breakdown features the vocal sitting on top a nice synth wash that gradually builds back into the track. A really nice remix - easily the pick of the bunch.

Not the usual type of stuff I'd play but I also really dig Fusi and Johnson's remix. It features a nice analogue sounding bassline sitting on top of a tech-trance style groove. Add to that some nice tight high end percussion and the track starts to pick up a nice pace. This remix has a feeling of enormous depth to it and I could definitely imagine myself getting lost to this on a dancefloor.

The rest of the remixes follow similar themes, some exploring a more tribal type avenue while some go for a slightly more down-tempo approach. Personally, the two I've reviewed are the only ones I would actually play but I think it's safe to say that there is something for everybody in this remix package and I'd be interested to hear some similar type stuff from the label.
