Introducing...Jason Kinetic
Productions supported by Judge Jules on BBC Radio One and some of the world's leading trance and hard dance DJs...Back to back performances with the likes of Denmark's DJ Choose...
Now in his 12th year of DJing (having first set his hands on a set of decks at the age of 12), Jason Kinetic (Jason Hill) is slowly - but surely - becoming a household name within the tech and uplifting trance scene.
Although always a fan of harder-edged sounds, Kinetic's style has matured slowly over the past decade. Influenced by the sounds of Mauro Picotto, Push, Marco V, Ferry Corsten, Ronald van Gelderen and, more recently, Fabio Stein, Krzysztof Choclow, Jesselyn and Marcel Woods, Jason has slowly forged for himself a style typified by driving tech-edged percussion and basslines and euphoric, dark hooks and synthwork.
His greatest influence, without a shadow of a doubt, has been Danish tech-trance pioneer - DJ Choose (Lasse Steen). From his old skool rave days to the tracks that really set his name on the scene such as the DJ Choose and F remix of Michael Splint's 'Eruption (I Feel Free), Jason has always been mesmerized by the energetic, dark and tough sounds Lasse pumps out. He also takes no offence whatsoever to people noticing this influence in his own productions!
In February 2007 a dream was realized when Jason warmed up for, and played back to back with DJ Choose at Club Politics in Swansea.
Over the course of his career to date, Jason has performed at clubs across the UK on line-ups featuring the likes of Yoji Biomehanika, Lisa Lashes, Andy Farley, Nik Denton, The Tidy Boys, Karim, Lisa Pin Up, Sean Tyas, Ashley Wallbridge, Myon & Shane 54, Richard Durand, Bryan Kearney, Greg Downey, Paul Glazby, JP & Jukesy, Superfast OZ, Ed Real, Hemstock and Jennings, Jeremy Healy, Greg Downey, Ben 'Frontline' Gold, DJ Choose, Genix, Avaline, NuSense, Louk, Joe E, Gio, Spencer Freeland, Little Gem, Karl G, Stereo 8, Matt Hardwick, Norman Jay, Trevor McLachlan, Danny Slade and Big Al to name a few.
Since entering the world of production, his tracks and remixes have received support globally from the likes of Judge Jules on BBC Radio One, Proteus, Agnelli and Nelson, Hemstock and Jennings, Christopher Lawrence, Suzy Solar, Scott Bond, JFK, Phil York on Kiss FM, DJ Choose, Jan Looper, Fabio Stein, Louk, Big Al, Yves Deruyter, Graham Gold, Alan Banks, Karl G, Jordan Suckley, El Toro, DJ Jack and Danny Slade amongst many others. Releases have come on Abstract Recordings, Elevation Music, Lyon Echo Music, Obse55ion Digital and Impulsive UK.
Self-taught, with the guidance of some close friends, absolutely all of Kinetic's productions are just that - Kinetic's : no engineers, no technicians; simply the product of years of hard work, dedication and an insatiable ambition and drive.
Instrumental in the development of Jason's DJing and producing career was, and still is, the support and influence of his family and friends. From his mother buying him his first set of decks at the age of thirteen, to his brothers' extensive collections of 90's dance music, without these things Jason simply could not be in the position he is now. No doubt he first heard Moby's classic 'GO!' in one of his brothers' rooms, a track which, after his highly successful remix thereof would mark the first major landmark in Jason's DJing history.
