Sonance returns to Cell 200 where we continue our mission to bring internationally recognised artists to an intimate venue, providing you with techno from the harder end of the spectrum.
The term legend is used far too often these days but for our first guest it’s 100% justified. With a career spanning over 25 years, BILLY NASTY has never been just a DJ but someone who has also enjoyed an extensive recording career and who runs two highly regarded record labels in the techno and electro scenes. In 2013 he relaunched the Tortured and Electrix imprints, with a focus on quality rather than quantity and featuring a string of releases over the last few years from highly regarded artists such as The Advent, Ben Sims, Mark Broom and Sync 24 amongst others.
He’ll be playing a 2 hour set at our party, during which you can expect to hear a wide range of techno and electro. On Cell 200’s recently fitted Funktion One sound system, this is going to sound very special indeed.
For our second guest we’re continuing our policy of supporting local DJs who have impressed us with their taste in techno and their ability to put an excellent set together. Joining us on this occasion will be CARL ROWLINSON, whose preference for harder techno and his relentless energetic mixing style really fits with the ethos of our parties. Carl has played at numerous underground events and venues across London over the last few years, and has a hand in running the Introspective Records label which has been steadily releasing high quality techno and tech-house over the last 12 months. We can expect to a mix of sounds old and new, and we’re really looking forward to it.
As always, support will be provided by Sonance residents B.S.E, Matt Church and Paul Z.
