I remember when I used to go Camden all the time before it was closed a couple of years back, you would get given a copy of a more hippy type magazine (psy-trance, mushrooms etc), can't remember the name, and a copy of Upfront with flyers, they would always get read on the way home after the afterparty, or the next day if I couldn't concentrate for longer than two minutes. There would always be a fair few events advertised so promoters were still getting their message across, just not being so in your face about it. Innovate at the Fridge last year a couple of times were giving out party packs as you left, mainly flyers with a lolly and condoms and some had cd's in. No one likes having them forced on you. Also, in this day and age what percentage of clubbers base where they are going on flyers, since its all on the net and in magazine nowadays.
