At the risk of sounding apathetic ( Wink ), I went out and bought a bike for this reason (among many others). Not only do I save myself £90 a month, I get plenty of exercise too and don't have to worry about industrial action, passenger action, leaf action, snow action, wind action, signal action or any number of other 'actions' I would be subject to on the tube.

London is geared heavily towards cyclists and I actually now quite enjoy the 'commute'. Smile

So they are planning to strike because their bossers want to know if they are doing the hours they should be... What bunch of work-shy, lazy bastards..

"It will infringe our human rights"

In the same way we use an Oyster Card to allow us on to the tube or the security swip cards most of us use to get in to our offices....
What a load of bollocks

Just read the news article, I can't believe they are going to strike because new Staff ID cards might be used for timekeeping.

The only reason I can see why they would object to this is because there is widespread abuse of the current system, and the new cards would prevent this.

Tube Drivers = Wankers

I'd love to, but the great british weather, plus commuting from E14 to W3, just puts me off it Messy
