For our launch party, expect floaty Balearic beats and soulful synths from Londoner Catching Flies. He quite literally plays music that pleasures your ears, a bass heavy yet melodic mesh of broody electronics and intricate rhythms, containing shades of everything from hip-hop to house, from soul to jazz. After touring with Bonobo last year, and playing a sold out gig at the Barbican with Submotion Orchestra, we're thrilled to have him down with a full live band, and can’t wait to experience the journey he’s bound to take us on.
Leeds party starters and Wayward will also be joining the line-up. Since they burst on to the scene in 2013 with nostalgic banger 'Only Flaw' they've been making waves around the world. After dropping their latest EP 'Ugetsu' on Indie-powerhouse Black Butter they followed up with a Black Butter tour of the US, spreading their sunny vibes stateside. We're pleased to say they're back in London and will be joining us in April, spinning their distinctive style of deep and melodic house into the early hours.
Dimensions Festival is broadly recognised as one of the most accomplished electronic music institutions in the world. In its five-year history it has hosted many of the scene's most celebrated talents and has grown to represent a meeting place and a nodal point for artists, promoters and dancers internationally. The guys behind the festival are now touring together as Dimensions Soundsystem to present this vision through their turntables. Their sets, in a sense, capture and embody everything that the festival has to offer - Jazz to Techno, House to Hip-Hop, the familiar and the obscure. They'll be joining us for a special extended set, sure to demonstrate their versatility and expansive musical knowledge.
