Label: Eye Industries
Format: 12" Vinyl
Genre: House

Dutch maestro Martijn Ten Velden and one half of the Stanton Warriors Mark Yardley team up for the first time as Splitter, resulting in a dance rock fusion of electronic music.

A really simple but yet highly effective bassline drives the track forward into a really deep male vocal, which co-works alongside the arrangement. The result together makes a very moody song, with a darker edge, that’s very hitting on the floor, again very simple, but catchy. Lots of little effects here and there spice it up and twist the arrangement up well into an almost electro/electronica styled lead, as usual a key prominent part that you would expect from Martijn.

The electronica aspect really works and what starts out as a sparse track turns into a full loaded jam packed floor hitter that surprises you with its catchy song and vibe. You have to hear the full track to get what Martijn and mark have created together, but the word fusion really sums up the partnership. A great underground record from Eye Industries that’s not too obvious, remixes to follow.
