» Shake and Rock This

Reviewed by Greg Zizique / Submitted 16-08-07 12:59

Label: Muck
Format: 12" Vinyl
Genre:

Bouncy tough electro injected bassline stormer “Shake and Rock This” has been gaining momentum for a few months with it’s twisted rhythm sound and vocoder vocals. A firing dirty house missile if you’ve ever heard one, with awesome remixes on top from Filthy Rich and Tony Cha Cha.

The Original mix has a killer injection of dirty gritty tough house beats with sirens and an acidic bassline and the great catchy as hell vocal that really just kicks it up in a club every time. Filthy Rich yet again provides a filthy feast of dirty electro lead beats with a rough feel to it. Very fat use of the bass, and a looping vocal and vibe that works it up even more into a frenzy then the Original mix, its proper going off peak time material here. Delinquent Bassline Stomper remix utilises a key different bass to the other mixes and has a more bouncy feeling with a style and sound more reminiscent of the Speed garage era. Finishing it off is Sidney Samson and Tony Cha Cha who go for a tough stripped back filtering squelching electro mix with a choppy edge and much darker feeling. Simply a massive track.
