» This Is The Time

Reviewed by Greg Zizique / Submitted 20-11-07 10:52

Label: Blackhole
Format: CD
Genre: Trance

Finally providing a very nice follow up to his former hit "C U Smile" Phynn has done it again and has included some serious sounds and offers a slightly different direction to the typical trance sound. Phynn describes that he wants to achieve “making good music every dj can play! No boundaries!”.

Phynn has been involved with music from a young age and has learnt to play several musical instruments. And it’s this concept that Black Hole Recordings have picked up on and exclusively signed Phynn’s tracks. With a wide supported by the worlds leading dj's such as label owner Tiësto, Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Paul van Dyk and Judge Jules there’s a great future to be had.

This Is The Time kicks of with a firing pace of hitting drums and mega bass that charges along with a full flow drive, nice changes here and there keep it interesting while the main focus of the tracks is gradually brought out. A cool effect slams into the trance synth used and with minimal fuss just glides along. Opting for no longish breakdowns and just maintaining the energy levels throughout high it’s defiantly aimed right at the floor.
