» Unleash / Seni Seviyorum

Reviewed by Greg Zizique / Submitted 05-03-08 10:11

Label: Black Hole Recordings
Format: 12" Vinyl
Genre: Trance

Belgian trance maestro Jonas Steur has received a lot of acclaim since his debut artist album “Born for the Night” and for 2008, yet more music is released on the ever excellent Black Hole Recordings.

Unleash begins with a subtle uplifting energetic modern trance sound that flows really well and has a strong modern bass and good pace too. After the eerie tingling breakdown an energetic deep hitting bass carries the flow right back up with a cool and fresh paced energy that bubbles along really well. A clever track that utilizes several elements from cross genres and influences and leaves a unique impression.

Seni Seviyorum opts for a more chilled effort. Not jam packed with obvious energy it has a more slower progressive melodic orientation with a deep bass that slowly picks up into a more momentous journey of all the synths and parts used. This track may not have the slamming direction of a lot of tracks, but it does leave a strong mind print from its lasting effect.
