Label: VIVA Music
Format: 12" Vinyl
Genre: Tech House/ Techno
More exciting underground music from Steve Lawlers Viva outlet, and featuring a cut that’s already receiving heavy plays from Lawler himself, Danton Eeprom, Squillace, Lazarus, Audiofly, Fancuilli, Howells, Livio & Roby, Luciano, Jones, Plasmik amongst others. Branded as the new queen of Dark House as her hotly received reworking of BFE’s ‘I Got Cash’ on Azuli and her remix of OrtZoka’s ‘Midnight’ shone her a vast spotlight. For Viva, Nicole Moudaber presents a double sider of heavy beats with sinister dark overtones.
Boxer Girl has a slow starting bass and synth that gradually builds up and gains momentum with little knaggy edges and elements to it. Half way through a deep almost minimal glitch sound and bass switches and even though in someways its not jam packed with energy in a obvious way, it has a certain fashion styling to it that does provide the killer moment for the floor.
Indecent Exposure comes in both Vox and Instrumental Mixes. A slightly percussive offering and using elements from both cool deep house and techno with suspensive synth snippets and eerie sharp sounds, all are deep and well refined and highly tripped out as well for a large effect. The vocal highlights the suspense and created mood and opts to lift you up and down and works the floor both equally in a big room drama episode or a sweaty warehouse rave. The Instrumental simply allows the less vox minded to hear the track and layer it up for a stripped back set.
