Greece native Yiannis has already amassed releases on deep Focus, Subliminal, Lost Language , Presslab, Black Hole and gained a wide variety of support. Next up is this EP release on Avanti with a Progressive inclination.
After That Day unravels itself straight from the start with a deeply hitting moody and pensive bass with an almost kind of tech house rolling chunky edge to it. Lots of dark and slow effects all mould into the mix with a vocal shout loop to tease the slow release effect of energy that begins to develop. Moonbeam provide a remix and true to the Original it stays deep, but has a further expansion of energy and flowing bubbly noises that graduate and screech much more and a little more in your face and less subdued.
Yesterday Morning continues this deeply surface of mixtures until a sudden clattering stutter teases into a more driving and prominent lead that certainly will pump up the pressure and cause a few ructions through the speaker to the dance floor. It does however drop back down, and I felt a remix that picked up on this darker tougher element would be much stronger for the floor.
