Leventina

» Here Workin’

Reviewed by Greg Zizique / Submitted 10-10-08 14:20

Label: No gangster's in Chicago/Fektive
Format: Digital
Genre: House, Vocal House

Pure house tracks that feature a male vocalist can be quite cheesy and not that effective, but, if executed well, can be a sublime production. For this Vocal house track, Leventina has managed to embark on a sheer quality house excursion with great results.

Backed with a starting point of some powerful lyrics to the song, the basis is set and with a clear driving almost progressive styled key to punch and move the whole flow along nicely with some crisp drums it begins to unfold. As the song is naturally quite deeply orientated the extra little swishes and sweeps keep it well balanced but also interesting with some almost disco house elements and loops, but not used straight up and in a very cutting fashion just to give it that important extra edge.

The song itself has bags of potential for going places and many genres with it too, easily see some further mixes on this one doing floor damage. If you like your house with a full vocal and backed with a journey, this one is going to be for you due to its naturally buoyant and bright uplifting direction.
