Steve Birch Vs Jay Cox Feat. Marcie

» Lucid Dreaming

Lucid Dreaming is a collaboration with Jay Cox from Fizzeek Records with a host of remixes on the Original summer sounding and melodic trancer that uses some key moments from the vocal speech.

Steve Haines turns out for me, the best remix it’s a tech house orientated mood with new style drums and percussion and deep keys and gentle mood, but bags of dance floor energy and flow contained inside it ready to burst. Using the vocal to tell a story and bubbly effects with constant percussive hits it moves along very nicely and creates a smooth, refined sound.

Jay Cox’s solo remix effort is a clever modern house track that uses a pensive edge, cool bass and swishes to pick up the flow where needed. A nice middle section strips back the words a bit and lets the music do the talking so it can unfold out open into the cool elements.

Digital Over produces a trance version with a slight electro tech edge in places to it and a nice punchy peak time dancey energy. Still using a deep and meaningful synth to carry it along and lift up a tingling edge, the electro tech bass kicks in and turns it up a gear for more full throttle action, but in a sensible fashion.

Dale Corderoy & u4ic dj's head up an uplifting melodic based trance outing with power and slamming energy jam packed in that drives along and loops very effectively and creates a strong constant sounding energy and push for the dance floors feet.
