As ever, any new Toolroom material is eagerly awaited and look forward to in advance, and the next album instalment from the Italian wonder Benny Benassi is a great addition to the series.
Its fair to say, right now, most compilations are full of tunes everyone’s already got, and not mixed that well, this one is different, first off the track selection is wicked, some real gems and cool new cuts sat beside the best floor bombs from recent times. And secondly the mixing is done with thought to each tune selected and brings out a nice workable mood. The CD1 is a Nu mix is a cool collected first off and builds up a busting groove in no time. The main mix on CD 2 takes things for the later dance floors and kicks a fuss up with electro, tech and clever cool nu sounds.
