Hailed as the past meets the present with two highly genius minds creating a joint effort, it’s got to be worth it right? Chicago legend Sneak is a powerhouse and nu age dance don Herve shows no signs of sitting on his laurels with his infectious ghetto pumping electro fidgety sound and dirty bases, what a melting pot to mix up.
Sneaks vocal idea found him teaming up with an interested Herve for a collaboration to finish off the idea and resulting Droppin Kisses, which has gained airplay from Kissy Sell Out on Radio 1 and Galaxy Fm’s Andi Durrant to name but a few.
Herves Club mix uses a slamming punchy drum loop and as usual, it is not long before the modern urban edged styled sounds and vocal lops and warbly noises come in that gives it a warping and high tech intense sound. This leads into a slamming bass and dramatic effected mix with peak time killer pump that has an essential Herve low down approach.
Dj Sneaks Original mix is more groove based I felt. Pumped up injected bass and simple floor and feet friendly tapping loops keeps it rolling, grooving and moving in a great funky chunky way, it is very slick flowing and uses vocal samples to give it a extra lift here and there, but its very sweet and funk down the line.
