Irad Brant

» Try To Like It EP

Reviewed by Greg Zizique / Submitted 27-03-09 17:23

Label: Glam Rox Recordings
Format: 12" Vinyl
Genre: Electro House

Hailing from Israel, Irad lands on Glam Rox Recordings with what can only be described as big fat bassy basslines, super leads and futuristic dirty sounds. Irad has been on the production front for around 10 years and renowned for his Psytrance project Switch which has released two artist albums and toured the globe, but for Glam Rox, his EP has a switch of its own.

Try To Like It uses a vocal introduction and nagging line which gradually opens up with more percussion, top loop and punch before dropping into a cranking pumping bass that drives and has a dirty bounce to it.

I Found Love begins fairly restrained on the lead in, snappy drums and deep effects sit well together until a large whirling up pitched breakdown begins and floods the gates with massive dirty filthy electronic broody bass and synthy bass colliding together and resulting in a filthy groover.

Break It Down veers slightly different to the previous two tracks with a tech electro vibe, but some real intense sounds added to act as a filth dark mover with pensiveness and slamming touches of up and down synth and basses that growl through the speaker and utilize the tech element of the production to keep it balanced well.
