Picture the scene...
You are lounging by the pool, sipping on a fruit salad island cocktail, complete with real life chunks of pineapple, banana and mango. As the sun sets around you, you eagerly and aggressively chew that last chunk of pineapple in the bottom of your now empty glass. Your entire body is elated with pure contentment of sugar, nectar and island spirits. You move your hand toward your mouth for another piece of utopia and devastation strikes, it’s finished, finito, no more cocktail! You sit there fighting that feeling to get yourself another chunk of bliss, you crave some more, and you have to have more!
At Elek2ronik HQ, we know all about fighting the cravings for more when we think about the chunky delectable beats of Dutch Bad Boy, Jaimie Fanatic. After witnessing how he draws the crowds into his music sensation of fanatically engineered semi-hysteria, we had to give into temptation and get the hip-hopping, punk rocking groove making \'Fanatic\' back for more at Elek2ronik on Friday the 31st August 2007.
Since his Debut in London for Elek2ronik, in May 07, there have been rumours of negotiations between him and major establishments in London to showcase his unbelievable inventiveness behind the decks. Jaimie’s career, as some will know, rolls back to the tender age of 12, rapping on stage to crowds in Holland. His long infatuation with music is so evident in the way he effortlessly tantalises the mixer to completely shift sounds & grooves while extracting energy from his audience with his playful ways in the booth!
Sprightly Jaimie stated in his interview with us that “If a DJ wants to be successful in whatever scene, the main thing I think he or she needs to understand is how to make a party.” How to make a party is what Mr Fanatic knows best with his vast experience gained across the globe and from inspirational geniuses such as DJ Nelson and Tommie Sunshine. With all the above and his stamp of approval from Pioneer, Jaimie is an act worth bringing back a second time and if you missed him at the last Elek2ronik you would be a right banana missing him again!
Adding to the utopia for the evening will be the totally baked but definitely not fried, duo of daftness, 2 Phunked uP and the rising suns of the AntiSocialSoundSystem who will be slamming down some rip roaring elek2ronik sounds.
Utopia wouldn’t be utopia if we charged you at the door all night so without fail, it’s still FREE before 10pm, £3 after… The Vibe at Inigo Bar is the closest you’ll get to that house party atmosphere without actually being at a House! As before, every single one of our guests, i.e. YOU! will receive a FREE Shooter of your Choice all you got to do is hit us back for some list action and we’ll make sure the Bar Sorts you out with a Free Shot either on Arrival or whenever you’re in the mood to suck one down!
