Liquid Bloom & PERE feat. Paul Stamets

» The Mycelium Is Remixed

Label: Desert Trax
Format: Digital
Genre: Ambient

After the original release of The Mycelium Is Listening on Desert Trax, its time to return to the underground world of the mushroom and explore newly crafted remixes. Versions come from Illusive Tuna, Spice Traders, Tylepathy, Ojhro and more.

The original release of this tune featured a vocal-less Spacious Mix which removes the spoken word vocal and concentrates on the track itself. Neither the original or the Spacious Mix contain beats; it is purely an ambient track, suitable for meditation or a chillout set. When combined with One Giant Consciousness or the Breath beatless remix album, this forms a journey; not unlike the mushroom mycelium itself.

My favourite remix here is the Tylepathy remix, although the Ojhro mix pushes it for quietness and contemplation. At almost 10 minutes long, its the perfect end to a remix EP or a Liquid Bloom chilldown set. As an EP, this is a lovely companion to the original and Spacious mixes and a worthy addition to the Liquid Bloom/Desert Trax catalogue.
