» Take U Down

Label: White Villa / Dancevilla
Format: CD
Genre: Electro/ Tech Trance

With his mix of Vincent De Moor - Flowtation blistering the club floors, Roy Gates takes a change from his tech trance style, to provide a more softer electro vibe.

The Club Mix has a throbby chunky edge to start with, before the vocal hits us, and it becomes more of a commercial radio styled track and looses its credibility. I really liked the arrangement but the vocal combined all over the top makes me want to screw my face up and stop playing it. Slightly disappointed in what would otherwise would have been a very solid effort for a floor and got several plays.

For the trance heads, we get treated to a tougher and darker reworking from Maarten De Jong. Turning the track into a peak time tech monster roller with some cool twisted synth sounds and reworked vocals, he's done a great job in turning this track back the other way. I still am unconvinced about the vocal and this remix of the track would be a full fired monster without them. Energy injected tech trance with loaded percussion from start to finish, just kill the vocals I think!
