Splittr

Label: Eye Industries
Format: CD
Genre: Electro, House

Months back a track surfaced produced by Dutch maestro Martijn Ten Velden and one half of the Stanton Warriors Mark Yardley. The result of them teaming up for the first time as Splittr had a melting pot of a dance rock fusion of electronic music.

The Original was a really simple but yet highly effective track with a cool bassline that drives the track forward into a really deep male vocal, which co-works alongside the arrangement. The result together made a very moody song, with a darker edge, that was very hitting on the floor, again very simple, but catchy.

After many key supporters and plays Eye Industries return with there A-Star Michael Grey to provide the remix, and taking a little more of an updated sound, Michael does a deep chunky throbby mix, looping the vocal up and teasing it out into a more frenzy vibe and tasty effects and dirty bassline just carries it along.

Shadowdancer does the remix it hell approach and adds a killer slick analogue bass and lots of energy and changes throughout which keeps it interesting. Style wise it verges into the nu-rave area as well and that is probably this mixes key difference, less of the straight up 4/4 style and fashion and adopts a far more electronica element.
