I was a massive fan of this track on its first time round, and the Erick Morillo mix remains a true favourite of mine. Updated and refreshed for 2008 with 3 fine new versions from Funkerman, Filthy Rich & James Fitch and Jaimy.
Filthy Rich & James Fitch get down for a deep re-rub, and instead of opting for a tough electro house version, it is far more balanced with a chunky but tough house route. A pulsating bass and choppy use of the original synth, and working on the vocal a lot more and making the words have far more impact there is a definite nice feeling on it.
Funkerman provides a more percussive and atmospheric mix, lots of drums and long delayed effects lead into a chuggy late at night vibe. Not throwing down the elements to soon, it gradually picks up and adds more developing out into a cool house journey.
Finally Jaimy returns for a retake on his own production and keeps things a little bit more funky led and shaken up. A classy and smooth house groove is brought out and looping use of the original parts and some reversing and extra instruments give it something special and a lot more phat and funk laden.
