Kraak & Smaak

Label: Jalapeno Records
Format: Digital
Genre: House, Funk

Holland's breakout stars, Kraak & Smaak are back featuring the vocal talents of Bobby NiO that showcases a different and darker side to Kraak & Smaak. Additional mixes come from Prok & Fitch, Deetron and All Good Funk Alliance.

Prok & Fitch strip the whole track back and add an injection of main room house to the mix. A cool reverberating feeling rests with vocal looping and deep swirly swishes and sounds. Again they add a rolling tech inclination throughout the track, but keep it fairly upbeat and punchy still for the floor. Some nice vocal use helps develop into the funk and almost soul edge lifted from the Original mix. A nice deep breakdown with a final lease of energy takes it to the end and a fairly cool affair. If the vocals not your thing they’ve also supplied a dub mix which should keep the heads more then satisfied.

Swiss deep house don Deetron supplies a more laid back option with deep pulsating waves that carry onwards throughout and provide a melodic electronica twist of a mix that encompasses many influences and aspects very well for a more toe tapping feeling.

Finishing things off is All Good Funk Alliance providing what generally feels like a rolling break beat styled version. More body grooving and toe tapping and jamming throughout with chunky rolling charges of funk and soul chopped up and melted into a pot of lots of flavour.
