Bodyrox & Luciana ft Nick Clow

» Brave New World

Reviewed by Greg Zizique / Submitted 12-11-08 15:09

Label: Phonetic Recordings
Format: 12" Vinyl
Genre: House, Electro, Tech House

Back once again with that irrepressible beat and catchy vocals supplied by Luciana and Nick Clow those electro house fiends Jon Pearn and Nick Bridges aka Bodyrox supply the next instalment of body grooving beats.

This time around after the success of “Yeah Yeah” and “What Planet Your On” we see a firing electro house orientated original mix with several twists and turns. Whilst the track starts off in a fairly chunky sound and using the full vocal, lots of little extra loops, effects, stabs all sit down and supply a further injection that works in conjunction with the bubbly bass line and provide a quality energetic journey for peak time floors.

Later on the breakdown changes and opts to utilize a broody electronica sound and more punkish attitude drum loops with a further vocal. Sitting down with a chunky flow but deep hinted backing this ones got bags of floor moving to handle.

One half of the duo Nick Bridges compiles a solo remix effort and uses a more tech house sound and warbling up and down bass with a somewhat freaking and nagging bass line that pushes the track into different heights. The sheer punishing energy behind it is enough with the crisp beats to overhaul the track for a dirtier floor.

Nice 7 finishes off the remixes with a slick tech meets minimal inspired slant. Lots of hooks based around a haunting little bass line and synth work magic and create a solid direction with carefully crafted highs and lows.
