» She Wants Me (Rewired)

Label: Spin Out Records
Format: Digital
Genre: House, Tech House, Electro, Techno

Starting off 2009 with a bang and a refreshing update on Rich’s 2007 monster electro broody anthemic cut “She Wants Me” Spin Out Records enlist Chris Barratt, DKS and Digital Punks to give it the essential makeover.

First up is the excellent Chris Barratt of who recent remixes for Adam K & Soha plus Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso has firmly put his name out there as a serious one to watch. Starting off with a sublime percussive drum and rattling groove, it’s simplicity gradually develops with a big surging throbby styled bass line and short snappy use of the vocal sample to pick it up before upturning itself and getting seriously heavy. He delays the melody and builds to an intensity that switches Rich’s Original into realms of tech house meets techno and all sorts in between. Either way, it’s highly addictive.

DKS makes what is probably, the more dirty version that will get the house, electro and breaks heads involved with ease. Right from word go, jam packed loaded up glitchy gliding noises rise up and with some deep bouncy basses to move it onwards this forms the main basis of the version. It has some electro edged spiked sounds and effects that all float around but bubble and bounce together.

Finishing off is Digital Punks and their first release on any label. Creating an alternative route for the track and its ethos, using a techno edge to swish the vibe right around. A kind of techy house and minimal inspiration rests the background, but a more techno direction grabs it. The rhythm stabs along melting down to a big breakdown, and moving bass line for some fresh sounds.
