Showing no signs of resting for 2009, there at it again, and that’s both Spin Out and Caninesounds! Following up to their massively successful ‘Bounce’ from last year, and fresh from making a distinct impression with their releases and remixes for Luetzenkirchen and Si McEvoy amongst others, Merrang is their first offering for 2009 and what a way to start.

The original starts things off with nice synths and arps before they twist the track up and build to a more melting pot of sounds amalgamated well.
A throbbing bass line moves the track along until the introduction of a lead melody line that carves its way through the rest of the track

First up on the remix wagon is German duo Moonbootica. Kick starting off with some big beat edged drums and percussion before slamming into areas of electro house and a more rhythmic base. Thrusting body grooving energy slams the flow up and at the floor until a synth takes you totally off the hook for sheer party music and a release of magic energy and uber cool bass line. This was my favourite mix.

Finishing it off is Spin Out guru Si McEvoy who uses a more edgy musical mix with rocky ravey drums and bass right from the word go and a deeply haunting almost shaking track develops. More down low sub grooving then the previous versions, Si has created a unique interpretation with dirty club loops and pensive moods but funky chopped up energy.
