» Pianoroll (Remixes)

Reviewed by Greg Zizique / Submitted 12-08-09 10:44

Label: Great Stuff
Format: Digital
Genre: Eclectic

After Martin and Benno created their very special track “Pianoroll” using a jazzfunk organ it gained instant praise from resolute tastemakers around the globe. Audiofly provide a special re-edit and an additional remix from Ramon Tapia completes this offering which has already got Josh Wink, Nick Warren, Slam, Chris Lake, Oliver Klein and Tomcraft.

Audiofly’s “Twinkle edit” uses the whole factor that the track is different and special and works to create a slight more driving groove to it, adding some bits and pieces to the groove and developing it forward and making it easier to play with a stronger effective structure. It’s still kind of laid back so I feel the additional remix will keep it more dance floor friendly in its orientation.

Ramon Tapia’s Remix pushes the boundaries further and takes it to a higher level for the dance floor, and he’s found a great way of fusing parts of the original organ but with a much bigger bass line and more developed pushing percussions. The whole track builds with a massive surge as the highlight in the middle that makes it another interesting and unique track.
