Cool and fresh funky inspired house with a nicely sung vocal is the order of the day here from Johnson Junior that appears to be a cover of Funky Green Dogs.
Straightforward 4/4 beats and a simple introduction works into the main vocal part and a bass line starts to develop with a funky laden groove that’s quite nice. Later on chunky percussion adds a more punchy tribal-istic touch and makes it a bit more solid and groove based for longer impact on the floor. It’s a nice track but at some points the vocal doesn’t feel as tight as it should be and seems a bit loose.
To sum up, a nice track in ethos, but a bit weak and lacks that something special to it that grabs you and makes you remember it the next day.
