Basically title. . .

But to be more specific, as a college student who's trying to get into the realm of DJing, I'm trying to allocate some of my earnings to what I can afford at the time being. That being said, is it required that I have speakers to practice/train with DDJ-400 (planning on getting soon)? I ask this because I plan to use earphones (if possible) at least until I can make a smart investment for some speakers. I appreciate any help/suggestions provided.

Use a fairly decent hifi to begin with and try to get some full cup headphones.
