I noticed something weird when using this lens today in conjunction with an Edelkrone HeadPlus w/focus module. Normally I'd use a cine lens with this setup, but I thought I'd try the Sony with a gear ring attached. What I found was that I'd set a few positions with focus, but when transitioning from one position to another, the Sony lens did not maintain focus despite the focus ring returning to the exact same position as when I initially set the focus. And I'm not talking about a small discrepancy - the focus was off enough that text went from tack sharp to completely unreadable.
Has anyone noticed this type of behavior?
