So assuming we end up with a hard brexit or whatever what can we potentially gain or recover? I'm thinking specifically in a cultural sense, things that the EU has "stopped" us from doing... what cultural joys will we be able to endulge in now that we have been starved of since 1976?

My favourite chocolate might be unbanned
Tbh, I actually don't know anything about what the EU put an end to culturally for this country - educate me!

I'm jsut trying to turn it on it's head a bit because as I'm sure you've noticed I'm pro EU and for me there is a lot more to brexit than immigrants taxes, I know there have been numerous outraged headlines about what the EU has banned or whatever (wonky cucumbers for example) and wondered if there is going to be an influx of outlawed pleasures flooding in to cheer me up.

Ah yeah - bananas particularly had to be a certain size and shape. In fact, fruit and veg in general was supposed to be regulated iro size/appearance until they finally saw sense and realised there was a fuckton of the stuff going to waste.

I'm still a bit underwhelmed as I don't think these are going to impact my life.
My head hurts now. Water/dehydration.
Also - clearly their journalists don't do the grocery shopping if they think eggs aren't sold by the dozen.
